چکیده

The rise in global population, urbanization, and desertification pushes the farming community toward intensive cropping to meet augmented food demands with consequent exhaustion of soil’s nutritional status fertility. In recent times, environmental pollution cost crop production have been enhanced due excessive inefficient use nitrogenous fertilizers. As an abatement strategy, seven different coated urea fertilizers, namely, gelatin-coated (G), zinc oxide (ZnOG), oxide-coated (ZnO), sonicated (ZnO-Son), molasses-coated (ZnOM), sulfate (ZnSM), sulfate-coated (ZnS) were prepared a fluidized bed coater. samples characterized through XRD, SEM, FTIR techniques, while crushing strength test was carried out assess impact inventory operations on physical integrity prills. Pot tests ryegrass ( Lolium perenne ) as evaluate effect fertilizers yield nitrogen (N) uptake order enhance efficiency reduce pollution. Our results suggest that affinity between surface coating materials nature. All oxide- or treatments significantly increased dry matter yield, uptake, apparent recovery (ANR), (AZnR). ZnOG proved be best sample terms balancing soil chemical properties improved nutrition producing plant (94% higher than UC), N (75% Zn (450% (48 vs. 23% for UC). such can lead improve yields, values crops, overall agro-ecological scenario.

Slurry injection to optimize nutrient use efficiency in maize: Soil nitrogen dynamics and plant nutrient status

Slurry injection below maize seeds is a rather new application technique developed to improve the nitrogen use efficiency of liquid organic manure. To enable the characterization of the spatial and temporal soil mineral nitrogen (SMN) dynamics after slurry injection the present study aims to develop an appropriate soil sampling strategy. Three consecutive experiments were conducted. The first t...

Improving Nitrogen Use Efficiency in Crops for Sustainable Agriculture

In this review, we present the recent developments and future prospects of improving nitrogen use efficiency (NUE) in crops using various complementary approaches. These include conventional breeding and molecular genetics, in addition to alternative farming techniques based on no-till continuous cover cropping cultures and/or organic nitrogen (N) nutrition. Whatever the mode of N fertilization...
